Fire Guts Kano Singer Market

A fire outbreak in the early hours of Tuesday has gutted the Kano Commodity Market, popular known as Kasuwar Singer located within the Kano Central District of Kano State.

Singer market is the largest market in the state where essential commodities like sugar, rice, millet, detergent, and other consumable products are sold.

As of the time of filing this report, no fewer than five firefighting vehicles were deployed to control the fire and prevent it from spreading to adjacent shops within the market.

This is coming five days after a fire destroyed Badume market in the Bichi Local Government Area of the state.

Efforts to contact the Public Relations Officer of the State Fire Service, Saminu Abdullahi, failed as calls made to his telephone did not go through.
