Fire guts INEC office, destroys card readers in Ondo

The state secretariat of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC in Akure, the Ondo State capital is on fire.

A reliable source within the commission, who does not wish to be named, told Adaba FM that the container housing over 3 thousand smart card readers must have caught fire as a result of power surge.

Fire-fighters are already at the scene, but sources say the fire may be getting out of control.
