FG tasks PCN, NAFDAC on strict supervision of medicine vendors
The federal government has charged Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN) and National Agency for Food, Drug Administration Control (NAFDAC) on strict supervision of the activities of medicine vendors to ensure quality services.
Head of pharmaceutical services division, food and drugs services department in the federal ministry of health, Beauty Okologo, gave the charge at a stakeholders meeting in Abuja.
Okologo noted that such efforts would guide against stocking and sales of unethical drugs by the vendors, which could endanger the lives of people.
She advised patent and proprietary medicine vendors to work within their mandate.
Okologo added that working contrary to the law would amount to effort in fertility.
