FG declares September 16th as National Identity Day
The federal government has declared September the 16th as National Identity Day and has supported the enrolment of Nigerians for digital Identity (ID) across the country.
Minister of communications and digital economy, Dr Isa Pantami, said this in a statement in Abuja on Tuesday.
Pantami reminds Nigerians of the importance of digital identity, and added that the ministry was developing the right policy environment to support enrolment for digital ids in the country.
He stresses that digital IDs play critical roles in the development of digital economies, as they were often called, the fabrics of the digital economies.
