FG Declares Friday As Public Holiday
The federal government has declared Friday, May the 1st as public holiday to mark this year’s international workers’ day.
A statement by minister of interior, Rauf Aregbesola, commends Nigerian workers for their resilience, patience and understanding, particularly at stemming the spread of COVID-19.
It says their commitment and patience will complement the efforts being made by government and other stakeholders to ensure the speedy control of the virus.
The statement adds that the nation’s economy will rebound and be stronger after the COVID-19 experience, with the various economic stabilisation efforts of the federal government.
