Federal lawmakers roll up sleeves to tackle tasks ahead
Federal lawmakers have expressed the belief that leaders of the national assembly will carry out their assignment as expected.
Some of the lawmakers spoke with newsmen in Abuja on issues bothering on setting agenda for the 9th national assembly.
A member of the house of representatives, Khadija Waziri Bukar Ibrahim from Yobe state disclosed that she believes the leaders have experience that can guide them.
Member representing Malum Fastri/Kafur federal constituency, Kaduna state, Babaginda Ibrahim urged the presiding officers to be careful while electing committee chairmen.
He advised that there is need to choose able hands.
Senator representing Jigawa North East, Ibrahim Hassan Hadejia maintained that the new leadership is the type that is not burdened with the responsibility of appeasing anyone.
The lawmakers are hopeful that efforts of the 9th national assembly would yield positive results.
