Federal government explains why some agencies are not on IPPIS platform

The non- inclusion of some government agencies and parastatals in the controversial Integrated Personnel and Payroll Information System, IPPIS is generating dispute between ASUU and the federal government.

Director, Integrated Personnel and Payroll Information System, Olufehinti Olusegun said the yet to be captured MDAs will soon be included.

Olusegun said the scheme should not be seen as a means of stripping ASUU of its autonomy but to checkmate wastages.

In a swift reaction, ASUU president, Abiodun Ogunyemi, said the unique nature of universities will not allow it to fit into the IPPIS.

The capturing of universities lecturers by IPPIS is expected to end by December 5 as ordered by the federal.
