Fayose to Lead Oyebanji’s Re-election Campaign, Blasts PDP

The Former Governor of Ekiti State, Chief Ayodele Fayose, has expressed his support for the re-election of Governor Biodun Oyebanji, declaring his readiness to lead the governor’s campaign across all parts of the state.

In a statewide broadcast, Chief Fayose commended Governor Oyebanji for what he described as a sterling performance since assuming office, noting that his administration has earned the trust and admiration of both political actors and non-partisan stakeholders across Ekiti State.

Fayose, noted that Oyebanji has proven himself to be a unifying factor and a divine instrument for the accelerated development of Ekiti.

He stressed that the governor’s inclusive governance style and developmental strides have brought a new wave of unity and progress to the state.

The former governor revealed that Governor Oyebanji has been able to bridge divides by rallying former governors and critical stakeholders, irrespective of party affiliation, around a common developmental vision for Ekiti.

On the internal crises plaguing the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Fayose noted that the party has lost its direction and relevance, both at the state and national levels.

He predicted that under the current circumstances, the PDP stands no chance of success in any forthcoming election.

The former governor reiterated his commitment to supporting good governance regardless of party lines.
