Fayose Okays Death Sentence For Cultists in Ekiti

Ekiti State Government on Monday signed into law, a bill to punish a convicted cultists with death sentence.

The State Governor, Mr. Ayo Fayose while signing the bill in Ado Ekiti, the state capital said that anyone involved in the act of cultism must be ready to face the consequence of death penalty.

Fayose also pointed out that anyone who uses his house to accommodate cult members, either as students or as a visitor would be sentence to life jail.

The Governor also read the riot act to rapist in the state, stressing that anyone who rape women would be imprisoned for life.

The enactment of death penalty for cultists is coming in the wake of clashes between rival cult groups at the Ekiti State University where two lives were lost within a week in the state.
