Fayemi sets up committee for covid-19 support account

Ekiti state governor, Kayode Fayemi, has named an eight-man management committee for the covid-19 pandemic support account recently set up by the state government.

A statement issued by the chief press secretary to governor Fayemi, Yinka Oyebode says the committee was set up in line with the governor’s commitment to transparency and accountability.

The statement says the account was opened specifically to receive donations from those who are willing to support the state government’s efforts to combat covid-19.

It adds that the expected support will also go towards providing palliatives for vulnerable persons in the state.

The committee is chaired by the secretary to the state government, Mr Biodun Oyebanji while Mrs Margaret Fagboyo will serve as the committee’s secretary.
