Ex-Salvadorian president gets additional jail term for bribery
El Salvador former president, Elias Antonio Saca, serving a 10-year prison term for corruption, has been sentenced to another two years for bribery.
The attorney general’s office said Saca was found guilty of having offered 10,000 dollars to a court employee to obtain information about a case against him.
Saca was sentenced during an abbreviated trial.
He was sentenced in September last year after confessing to diverting 301 million dollars of public funds during his tenure.
