Ex-Rep member, Bimbo Daramola to join APC today
A former House of Representatives member from Ekiti North Federal Constituency one, Mr Bimbo Daramola is set to return to the All Progressives Congress APC today.
While confirming this to Adaba FM in Ado, the former lawmaker noted that he was willing to return to the party he left prior to 2022 governorship election in Ekiti being a founding member of the party.
Daramola said that plan has been concluded to mark his return back to the APC folds today.
He explained that “I met with some of the Stakeholders in the APC in Ekiti State, including, Chief Jide Awe, the Chairman Emeritus, he led us through the gruelling days when adversity was our meal as progressives, he was our commander who led from the front, from ACD, to AC, then ACN and later APC.
If anyone is a human repository of the APC journey, Chief Jide Awe is.
He alleged that mismanagement and mishandling of the party by some power broker within the party between 2017 to 2018 necessitated his departure from the party to the Social Democratic Party, SDP.
He said, somewhere along the line, the allures of prosperity got some people drunk and forgot the beauty and the binding force of adversity, and ranks broken amongst people who hitherto were bounded by share fate, just because of the psychotropic effect of power on some people.
He however thanked governor Biodun Oyebanji and the leader of the 10th national Assembly Senator Michael Bamidele for their encouragement and support to him.
Hon Bimbo Daramola would announce his return to All Progressives Congress today with his over 200 support at his Ire Ward.
