Euro 2020: Gareth Southgate releases provisional squad

England coach Gareth Southgate has released a 33-man provisional list for the Euro 2020.

Some of the prominent names on the list are Jordan Pickford, Aaron Ramsdale, Sam Johnstone and Dean Henderson as goalkeepers.

Some defenders who made the list are Trent Alexander-Arnold, Ben Chiwell, Ben Godfrey, Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw, Kyle Walker, John Stones, Reece James and Kieran Trippier.

In the midfield, there are Jordan Henderson of Liverpool, Jesse Lingard of West Ham, Chelsea player Mason Mount, Declan Rice, James Ward-Prowse and Kalvin Philips.

The forwards include Harry Kane, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Phil Phoden, Jack Grealish, Marcus Rashford, Bukayo Saka, Raheem Sterling, Jadon Sancho, Mason Greenwood and Ollie Watkins.

Some of the shocking misses on the list are Patrick Bamford of Leeds United, Tottenham Hotspur’s Eric Dier, Nick Pope of Burnley, Leicester’ James Madison and Daniel Ings of Southampton.

The list will still be pruned to 26 players.

England will play its first match of the Euro 2020 on Wednesday, June the 2nd.
