EndSARS: Osun youths protest police brutality
Youths in Osun state took to the streets of Osogbo the state capital to protest brutality and extra judicial killings by operatives of the special anti robbery squad(SARS) unit of the police.
The protesters converged on popular Oja Oba round about and marched to some strategic areas in Osogbo carrying placards with various inscription to drive home their demand
While speaking one of the protesters Gbenga Olaleye said they are not contented with the inspector general Of police reform of the operations of SARS, rather it should be scrapped.
Olaleye noted that SARS has done more harms than good especially to Nigerian youths hence the reason the federal government should accede to their demands.
Another protester Abolore Adedokun expressed dismay that the police who are responsible for the protection of lives and property of all citizens, are the ones subjecting people to harassment and intimidation
Adedokun noted that if their demands is not granted, they will keep up with the action until federal government and the inspector general of police do the needful.
