Ekiti to commence random Coronavirus test for residents

The Ekiti state task force on COVID-19 has appealed to residents of the state to take coronavirus test when random testing commences.

The state commissioner for health and human services, Dr. Mojisola Yaya-Kolade made the plea while giving the update on COVID-19 in Ado Ekiti, the state capital.

The commissioner said health workers are undergoing training on prevention and control of the disease to further sustain the tempo in curtailing the pandemic in the state.

On his part, the coordinator of the state taskforce professor Bolaji Aluko lauded the resilience of the people and their level of compliance with the stay at home order.

He said efforts are on to track violators of the state government’s directive on boarder closure.

Commissioner for environment and natural resources, Gbenga Agbeyo said the taskforce has commenced the disinfection of markets, supermarkets and banking institutions in the state capital.
