Ekiti State Vows to Improve Education Standard

The Ekiti state government has expressed it’s determination to bring back the old but an enviable standard of education to all schools in the state.

Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education Science and Technology, Mr Ayodeji Ajayi made the disclosure while inspecting the new permanent site of Ifaki Grammar School in Ido/Osi Local Government area of the state.

Mr Ajayi who condemned the situation which he met some of the students of the school described the environment as non conducive for learning.

He commended the efforts of the old student association of the school for complementing government’s efforts.

The principal of the school, Omodara Oluremi lauded the state government for what he described as timely intervention on the school.

Ifaki grammar school is one of the oldest schools in Ekiti state, but was relocated by the Segun Oni administration over creation of university between 2007 and 2010.
