Ekiti Governor’s wife distributes over 350 education materials to less-privileged
In an effort to provide support to under-privileged children, the wife of the governor of Ekiti State Dr Olayemi Oyebanji, has distributed school equipment to over 350 indigent pupils under the program, Widows and Orphans Hope back to school program.
Dr. Oyebanji in her office stated that she gave out the items as a result of her desire to make a difference in the lives of less privileged in the society.
The wife of the governor stated that the program for the pupils is just one part of her larger initiative to serve Widows, Orphans and Aged individuals in the state.
The Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Teachers, Oke Emmanuel, commended the gesture of the wife of the governor saying this would help the pupils in their studies.
Some of the beneficiary pupils thanked Dr Oyebanji for the gesture.
No fewer than 400 indigent pupils were selected from the 16 local government areas of the state.
