Ekiti First Lady to Empowers Youths Through Adire Fabrics

The wife of the Ekiti State Governor Dr. Olayemi Oyebanji, has reiterated her commitment to empowering over 200 Ekiti women and youths through Adire attire production.

At the inauguration of the Ekiti Adire Hub in Ado Ekiti, Dr. Oyebanji stressed that the program would foster self-reliance among unemployed youths and women and as well preserve the cultural heritage.

She emphasized that beneficiaries of the training will not only gain valuable skills but also contribute to the state’s socio-economic advancement.

Governor Biodun Oyebanji, who launched the hub, assured that the initiative, a joint effort between the First Lady and partners like Senator Babafemi Ojudu, and founder of Nike Art Gallery, Chief Nike Odunayo, would provide access to opportunities for the beneficiaries.

The wife of the Ooni of Ife, Olori Aderonke Ogunwusi, expressed hope that the program, if effectively executed, will mitigate unemployment among women and youth, providing them with avenues for economic empowerment.

Senator Babafemi Ojudu, one of the partners who donated the training facility, expressed his long-standing vision to nurture young talents.

He encouraged the participants to seize the opportunity to carve out a livelihood for themselves.
