Ekiti Election: SDP gov’ship candidate urges EFCC, ICPC to retrain politicians from destabilizing electioneering process

Candidate of the Social Democratic Party in the Saturday Governorship election in Ekiti State, Segun Oni says vote buying is a criminal offence and that the position of the ballot box must be such that you drop your ballots before the prying eyes .

Segun Oni who made the disclosure at a press parley held at his campaign office in Ado-Ekiti also said SDP won’t engage in vote buying, adding that such doesn’t mean some people will not be paid for rendering services but not for vote buying.

The SDP Candidate who was reacting to some news milling rounds that a deal had been signed with the Governorship Candidate of the Social Democratic Party through the APC Presidential Candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu said he has not seen Tinubu for over a year now.

He said he was not desperate to get to power, adding that he was on the race for Ekiti people and will not compromise the interest of Ekiti people for anything.

He urged the EFCC and ICPC to clamp down on any erring politicians who may want to subvert the electioneering process to do such in good faith.

Segun Oni also called on the people of the state to resist unlawful arrest before, during and after the poll.
