Ekiti Assembly passes over N44 billion supplementary budget into law

The Ekiti State House of Assembly has passed the 2023 Supplementary Appropriation Bill of over 44 billion naira, as requested by Governor Biodun Oyebanji.
 
The bill was passed into law at the plenary presided over by the Speaker, Mr. Adeoye Aribasoye, at the Assembly Complex, Ado.
 
The majority leader, Mr. Tolu Ige, highlighted the importance of the bill to the economic importance of the state in line with the governor’s agenda, while the lawmaker representing Ekiti East 1, Mr. Oladele Ogunsakin, supported the view, noting that it will allow the government to fund the necessary projects.
 
The Speaker pointed out that the bill would enable the governor to complete the first Ring Road, the Ikere Igbara Odo Road, and other legacy projects in the state in record time.

After a thorough deliberation by the lawmakers, the supplementary appropriation bill of over ten billion naira, making the 2023 budget a total of one hundred and forty-four billion naira, was passed into law.
