Ekiti Amotekun Parades Four Suspects For Alleged Theft
Operatives of the Amotekun Corps in Ekiti state have paraded four suspects arrested in connection with theft of circular motors and some other working materials at the construction site of the ongoing Cargo Airport in the State.
Commander of the corps, Brig. Joe Komolafe (rtd.) said the suspects were arrested following a tip off by the residents of the state, which he said made the corps launched a manhunt to ensure the suspected criminals were apprehended.
He said other suspects apprehended for offences ranging from kidnapping, Robbery, unlawful possession of weapons among others.
Komolafe who further expressed the resolve of the security corps to continue in that direction until the state is free from criminal activities and other social vices, said the command remains resolute in curbing all menaces in the State.
Some of the suspected criminals who spoke with newsmen in an interview explained the various roles they played in the alleged crimes.
The corps however said the suspects will soon be handed over to police and possibly charged to court after the conclusion of investigations.
