Ekiti 2022: Teachers hold solidarity rally for APC candidate, Oyebanji

Ahead of the Saturday gubernatorial election in Ekiti State, some Teachers in the State have held a solidarity rally in support of the candidate of the All Progressives Congress APC, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji in Ado Ekiti, the State capital.

Drawn up from the sixteen Local Government Area of the State, the teachers stormed the popular Fajuyi pavilion in Ado-Ekiti, to bear their minds on the reason for their solidarity rally.

Agbekorode Sunday, Kotila Omowumi and Osanyintade Oluwadare who spoke in an interview with newsmen explained that the solidarity rally was organised over what they described as the outstanding achievements of the Kayode Fayemi’s administration in the education sector.

The teachers specifically applauded the Governor for his encouragement and inspiring performance in critical sectors including agriculture, education, infrastructure, health and industrialization, which they said have added values to their lives and vowed to vote massively for the APC Candidate.

Chairman State Universal Basic Education Board, Prof. Femi Akinwumi in an interview with newsmen revealed that the group had secured 75 per cent of votes from their members to be cast for the APC Candidate.

The APC Candidate, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji who was elated at the decision of the teachers to vote for him pledged not to let them down, adding that his administration’s when elected will prioritise their welfare.

He charged the teachers to remain loyal, steadfast and hard-working, while urging them to improve upon their attitude to work and dedicate their minds fully to whatever assignment that is given them.
