Eid-el-Kabir: Celebrate with high sense of modesty and responsibility, Oyetola tells Muslims
Muslim faithfuls returned to Eid prayer grounds in Osun State to observe this year’s Eid-el-kabir 2-Rakat voluntarily prayer as against last year due to COVID-19 pandemic.
This is even as worshipers relatively complied with COVID-19 safety protocols in and around the Osogbo central Eid where Governor Gboyega Oyetola as well as the Senate Spokesperson, Ajibola Bashiru performed the annual rite led by the Grand Imam of Osun State, Sheik Musa Animasahun.
Addressing the congregation shortly after the prayer, Osun state Governor Oyetola encouraged muslims to celebrate with high sense of modesty and responsibility.
Oyetola urged them to encourage peaceful coexistence and harmonious relationship with all and sundry for the progress and development of the society.
Also speaking Nigerian senate spokesperson Ajibola Basiru admonished Muslims to use the opportunity to pray for peace of the Nation’, stressing that progress can only strive in a conducive environment.
Bashiru enjoined them to uphold the tenets of Allah in the spirit of unity and love.
