Eid-el-fitr: Adeleke cautions residents to celebrate with moderation

The Grand Imam of Osun state Sheik Musa Animashaun wants Muslim to always reflect on lessons learnt during the Ramadan and make piety a habit.

This formed part of the messages delivered by the cleric at Osogbo central Eid where muslims gathered to celebrate this year Eid El fitri.

While addressing the congregants, the Grand lmam of the state Sheik Animashaun implored Muslims to consider the beginning and end of the Ramadan period to ponder on the fact that there is time for everything and to always note that it is only God that is unchangeable and without end.

Osun state Governor, Ademola Adeleke speaking to newsmen shortly after observing the two voluntary rakats at the central eid urged residents to be committed to praying for sustained peace and development in the state, he also used the occasion to speak on his efforts at addressing brewing insecurity in the state.

Also speaking the Senate spokesperson Ajibola Bashir admonished muslims and non-muslims to prioritize spiritual development and commitment to progress in their various localities.

Among the dignitaries that worshipped at the central Eid are secretary to the state government Teslim Igbalaye, the Ataoja of Osogbo, Oba Jimoh Olanipekun among others.
