EDO STATE HOUSE OF REP CONSIDERS BILL

Edo State house of assembly has began consideration of a bill prohibiting human trafficking and establish the state task force against trafficking in persons.

Majority Leader and Representative of Orhionmwon South Constituency, Roland Asoro, moved the motion for the house to dissolve into a committee to consider the bill.

The Speaker, Kabiru Adjoto, directed the majority leader to schedule further consideration of the bill for the next sitting.

In January, Governor Godwin Obaseki had sent the bill in person to the house for consideration.
