Edo gov’t calls for increased funding of army
The Edo state deputy governor, Philip Shaibu has called for increased funding of the Nigerian army to ensure efficient performance.
Shaibu made the call when the chief of army staff, Lt-Gen Tukur Buratai, paid him a courtesy visit in Benin.
The deputy governor also assured the army of the state government’s readiness to assist in the burial of a former military administrator of the then mid-west region, Maj-Gen David Ejoor.
