Dozens quarantined in California after measles exposure
US health officials have quarantined dozens of people at two California universities to stop the spread of a nationwide measles outbreak.
The department of public health said hundreds of students and staff at the university of California Los Angeles and California state university were exposed to a measles carrier earlier this month.
It said it had quarantined those who could not prove that they were inoculated.
The US has recorded 695 cases of measles in 2019.
Measles is one of world’s most contagious viruses spread by coughing or sneezing.
