Don McGahn: White House directs former lawyer not to testify
A member of the democratic led house judiciary committee in the US says an impeachment inquiry against president Donald Trump may be warranted.
The member said there may be an impeachment inquiry necessary if the president’s former counsel Donald McGahn does not testify before a congressional committee about special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation.
The democratic led house of judiciary committee has issued a legal order for Donald McGahn to appear today.
Meanwhile, the department of justice and white house both released statements on Monday arguing that Mr McGahn was not obligated to give evidence.
