Confusion in Akoko Southeast/Southwest APC primaries as delegates allege illegal change of venue

The lawmaker representing Akoko Southeast/Akoko Southwest federal constituency, Ade Adeogun, says the APC House of Representatives primaries in the constituency is yet to commence.

In a telephone interview with Adaba FM, Adeogun said all aspirants had been waiting for representatives of the APC who are to conduct the primaries since morning, but that none had shown up as at the time he spoke with Adaba FM.

He said there are allegations that some characters had moved the primaries to Akure,  the state capital against what the law prescribes.

Ade Adeogun added that the aspirants and delegates would continue to wait at the venue and ensure by all legal means that the primaries do not hold outside Akoko Southeast/Akoko Southwest federal constituency.
