Collapsed East-West road paralyses 50 billion dollars investments in Rivers

The collapse of a section of the east-west road in Eleme in Rivers state has paralysed investments at more than 50 billion dollars in the Eleme-Onne axis of the industrial hub of the state.

Report says this section of the road had been virtually impassable for about two years until the collapse of the access bridge to the two petroleum refineries in Eleme and many businesses within the area.

The head of operations and technical service at the oil and gas free zone Mr. Adekunle Ajayi disclosed that the businesses cut off by the collapsed bridge were collected by more than 50 billion dollars.
