Buhari declares zero tolerance for rape

President Muhammadu Buhari has declared zero tolerance to rape.

The president has also directed the inspector general of police to deal with perpetrators of rape and other gender-based violence in the country.

Vice president, Yemi Osinbajo, made the disclosure at the launch of the United States Agency for International Developmentā€™s Momentum Country and Global Leadership Initiative.

The vice president was represented by the minister of humanitarian affairs, disaster management and social development, Sadiya Farouq.
