Breaking :Former Nigeria’s VP Alex Ekwueme Is Dead

Former Nigeria’s Vice-President in the second Republic, Dr Alex Ekwueme has passed on.

Dr Ekwueme according to a statement signed by his brother and traditional ruler of Oko in Anambra State, Igwe Laz Ekwueme died Sunday night in a London clinic, United Kingdom.

The statement reads: “Ekwueme family regrets to announce the peaceful passing away of their patriarch, the former Vice-President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Dr Alex Ifeanyichukwu Ekwueme GCON.

“The sad event occurred at the London Clinic at 10:00 pm on Sunday 19th November 2017”, the statement added.

President Muhammadu Buhari had approved Ekwueme’s treatment outside the country after The former VP slumped in his Enugu residence, and was immediately taken to the Memfys Neurosurgery Hospital Enugu, where he relapsed and went into a coma.

He was later rumored to have died by some media outlets, the story which was later debunked as falsehood.
