Breaking: Fayemi swears in 8 commissioners
The Governor of Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi has sworn in eight newly appointed Commissioners with few members of the cabinet reshuffled.
Fayemi while performing the ceremony in Ado Ekiti explained that his administration carried out a mid-term assessment and made few changes towards refining its agenda and strengthening its team for a better Ekiti, hence the infusion of new people into his cabinet.
He said the move will include the re-designation of some ministries and creation of new bureaus.
He commended the outgoing commissioners and other political officers for their dedication during the covid-19 pandemic and implored the new appointees to be dedicated in their new offices and shun acts of partisanship in the discharge of their duties.
He promised not to relent at developing the state.
Eight commissioners, seven special advisers and two board chairmen were sworn-in at the ceremony.
