Boko Haram: NEMA resettles returnees in Borno
The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) says it has begun preparations for the resettlement of returnees to Jakana community of Konduga local government area of Borno.
Information officer, NEMA north east zonal office, Abdulkadir Ibrahim gave the hint in a statement issued today.
The statement says the agency has made adequate arrangement to distribute ford and other relief items to affected persons.
Ibrahim explains that the relocation will begin with evacuation of women, children and other vulnerable groups before the men are moved.
Report says residents of Jakanda were evacuated by the army to Bakassi IDPs in Maiduguri for safety due to ongoing clearance operations against insurgents.
