Aviation unions shut down NCAA over new organogram

Aviation Unions has today shutdown the offices of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) at the Lagos airport.

They are protesting against the new organogram approved for the agency by the federal government and the non-promotion of some staff for over three years.

The unions are, Air Transport Services Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (ATSSSAN), the National Union of Air Transport Employees (NUATE), the Association of Nigerian Aviation Professionals (ANAP) and the National Association of Aircraft Pilots and Engineers (NAAPE).

The deputy general secretary of ATSSSAN, Mr. Francis Akinjole, said the indefinite industrial action followed the expiration of the seven-day ultimatum given to management to resolve the issues.
