Authorities in Algeria vows to use chloroquine as treatment for COVID-19
Algerian authorities have vowed they will not give up on the controversial use of hydroxychloroquine in the treatment against coronavirus
The decision came despite the decision of the World Health Organization (WHO) to suspend clinical trials
A member of the pandemic monitoring committee Dr Mohaned Bekkat stated this on Tuesday night
He said the country have treated thousands of cases with the drug with great success to date
He added that the committee have not noted any adverse reactions
