At least 33 persons die of COVID-19, says NCDC

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control says at least 33 more persons have died from COVID-19.

According to the health agency, 125 new cases of the virus were also reported across the country within 24 hours.

The new cases were reported from 10 states with the FCT topping the list with 45 fresh infections.

Other states are Kaduna, Rivers, Lagos, Osun, Oyo, Jigawa, Edo, Kano and Plateau.

Till date, Nigeria has recorded 209,298 of the virus and 2,837 deaths and 197,143 cases have been discharged.
