ASUP hails president Buhari’s assent to polytechnic act bill

The Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics has lauded president Muhammadu Buhari for signing the polytechnic act amendment bill into law.

ASUP national president, Usman Dutse, said the union was happy that the bill was finally signed.

He spoke while addressing newsmen in Lagos

Dutse expressed optimism that all agencies concern would commence its implementation immediately.

The union’s president said the law when implemented, would bring development into the system, minimise internal challenges and conflicts in the sector.

He also believed that it would increase efficiency in their operations.
