Aribisogan Replaces Afuye as Ekiti Assembly Speaker

Ekiti State House of Assembly has elected Hon. Gboyega Aribisogan as the new Speaker.

The new Speaker, Rt Hon Gboyega Aribisogan, who represent Ikole constituency 1, was elected at plenary to replace the late speaker Funminyi Afuye, who died last month after a brief illness.

Mr Aribisogan who won the keenly contested election defeated Hon Olubunmi Adelugba with 15 to 10 valid votes cast.

In his acceptance speech Aribisogan promised to run an all inclusive administration during his tenure which will embrace peace among all members.

He however assured that the Ekiti State House of Assembly would remain committed to the vision of the present administration and prioritize Ekiti Project
