Aregbesola Swears In 399 Councillors in Osun

Osun state Governor Rauf Aregbesola on Tuesday charged the newly elected councillors in the state to utilize their offices for the benefit of the people and the development of the state.
Aregbesola gave the charge at the swearing in ceremony of the elected councillors at the state Secretariat osogbo.
He said,the position should not be a means for wealth accumulation,but an avenue to generate revenue for the state government.
The Governor explained that,the parliamentary system of Government has greater political representation and effective governance, hence its adoption.
Aregbesola advised the councillors to be agents of change capable of transforming the state and their respective councils.
The representative of the councillors,Gboyega Ayeola pledged their readiness to contribute to the growth of the state by discharging their duties accordingly.
The oath of office was administered on the 399 councillors by the state chief judge,Justice Oyebola Adepele-Ojo.
