Aregbesola No Longer In APC, Says Former Senate Spokesperson

Immediate past spokesperson for the Nigerian Senate, Ajibola Basiru has said that the former governor of Osun State, Rauf Aregbesola, is no longer recognized as a member of the All Progressives Congress in the state.

Senator Basiru who stated this at a press conference in Osogbo said the refusal of Aregbesola to support and vote for APC in series of recent elections showcases him as non member.

He therefore challenged governor, Rauf Aregbesola to declare his present political party.

Senator bashiru described the former minister plea for forgiveness as mischievous saying that Aregbesola claimed that president Tinubu is his benefactor and mentor but he didn’t not deem it fit to support him during his political sojourn in becoming the president.

He hinted that the repositioning committee set up to resolve the internal issues of the party in the state is a welcome development in order for the party to reclaim the state from the People’s Democratic Party in 2026.
