Appeal Court dismisses Segun Oni’s case over Ekiti APC primaries
The Court of Appeal sitting in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti state capital, has affirmed the primary election of the state governor, Kayode Fayemi and dismissed the eligibility case filed before it by a former governor of the state, Chief Segun Oni.
The court also strike out the preliminary objection raised by Fayemi’s counsel, Rafiu Balogun that the originating summon brought by Segun Oni was properly endorsed by the sheriff act.
Oni was challenging Governor Kayode Fayemi’s eligibility to contest the All progressives Congress (APC) May 12th primary election in which he came second.
