APC chieftain, Olusola Iji emerges Araba of Igbobinni
A former ambassador to the republic of Togo and a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in the state, Amb. Olusola Iji has been honoured with the Chieftaincy title of ‘Araba of Igbobinni and Apoiland respectively.
The title which was conferred on him by the Olu of Igbobinni, Oba Raphael Oyedele and the Kalawuse of Apoi land Oba Sunday Amuseghan took place at the monarch’s palace respectively.
Also honoured was Sola Iji’s wife, Mrs Taiwo who bagged the ‘Yeye Araba’ of Igbobinni and Apoiland.
While speaking, the monarchs, noted that Ambassador Iji conferment was In recognition of his contributions towards the development of Igbobinni and Apoi land communities and Ondo State at large.
They explained, that the title was based on merit and not otherwise.
Ondo state governor, oluwarotimi akeredolu who was represented at the event by his Deputy , Lucky Ayedatiwa, described the traditional title bestowed on Ambassador Sola Iji, as an Honour well deserved.
Responding, the new Araba of Igbobinni and Apoi land, Amb. Sola Iji, lauded the monarchs for the honour done on him and his wife, assuring of their renewed efforts to support the two communities.
The ceremony had in attendants; traditional rulers, Osemawe of Ondo, Oba Victor Kiladejo, APC state Chairman, Engr Ade Adetimehin, Chief Olusola Oke (SAN), top government officials among other dignitaries.
