Amotekun arrests seven suspected robbers in Ekiti

The Western Nigeria Security Network, with code name Amotekun in Ekiti State have arrested seven suspected Robbers terrorizing Ara, Aisegba and Ado Ekiti areas of the State.

Commander of the corps, Brig. Gen. Joe Komolafe (rtd.) while parading the Suspects at the Amotekun headquarters in Ado Ekiti,said the suspects were arrested following tip off and hard work by men of the corps.

He further explained that Ojo Owoseni and Deji Awe were arrested in Ara Ekiti after attempting to stealing motorcycle while Benjamin Oban and Joseph Abu were apprehended in Aisegba Ekiti for Robbery.

The commandant added that Fatima Rasak was arrested for harboring suspected Robber, Ola Ojo who stole a sumo Pumping machine.

Items recovered from the suspects included motorcycles, handsets and charms.
Komolafe said the suspects will soon be handed over to police for further investigation and prosecution.

Komolafe while asked the arrangement put in place to ensure highway kidnapping is reduced to its bearest minimum in the State, pointed out that with the arrest of the suspects, the command remains resolute at curbing the menace.

He added that there has been effective synergy between all security Agencies in the state to reduce the influx of undesirable element who intend to cause havoc in Ekiti State.
