Am your God and Satan, Buju Tells Ruger
“Finesse” hit maker BNXN formerly known as Buju has declared himself Ruger’s God as well as his Satan.
The duo resumed their usual war of words on Twitter after Ruger appreciated God and his fans for one of his latest songs, “Asiwaju” which currently tops Nigeria Apple Music chart.
“First of all, I want to thank God and everyone that actively listen to my songs. Next year will be a year of blessings for you all IJN. The real question I wan ask Dey my next tweet,” he said
In his next tweet, Ruger in what seemed like a puzzle, took a swipe at ‘Buju’, claiming he’s been forcing his music down people’s throats for years.
He said: “I am something. For years now, I have forced my songs down people’s throat whether e sweet abi e no sweet either by too much ads or by paying every influencer to make noise about a song they don’t even like. Or by speeding my song on TIKTOK. WHAT AM I?”
Triggered by Ruger’s indirect slight on his craft, BNXN alleged Nigeria now has what he described as ‘streaming farms’ where record label bosses pay huge sums to get their signees’ songs to top music charts.
In a tweet thread BNXN blasted his colleague, alleging he was riding on illegitimate success, praying that him and every other ‘fake’ artiste making genuine hustlers in the music industry look like a joke get exposed someday.
“Buju baby all I need from you now is simple. I need you to list just five songs of yours that’ll make your crowd go crazy at your shows and I’ll list mine. No features, just your songs buju baby I’m waiting,” he tweeted.
Surprisingly, BNXN accepted Buju’s dare noting, “You really wanna do this with me? Okay. I’ll walk you like the dog you are”.
The Spaceship record label signee went on to share not just 5 but 12 of his songs including those with featured acts.
He went ahead to declare he was the Jonzing World signee’s God and satan.
He captioned the post: “If I list 5 songs it would be a downplay of how many times I’ve displayed CLASS on a record since 2018 @rugerofficial I be your God and I be your Satan. Post your Apple Music.”
