Akure palace clears air on missing child saga

The palace of the Deji of Akure has refuted claims that it attempted to pervert the course of justice in the case involving the general overseer of Sotitobire miracle church over the disappearance of a year old boy on the church’s premises.

A statement by the chief press secretary to the Deji of Akure, Adeyeye Micheal says such allegation is an attempt to denigrate the revered stool of the Deji.

It clarifies that at no time did the Deji, Oba Aladelusi Aladetoyinbo receive money to push for the release of the embattled cleric or influence the investigators.

The palace urges the general public to disregard such rumour from faceless individuals.

It expresses the monarch’s readiness to support any move to uncover the mystery around the ugly incident.

The palace also enjoins security agencies to speed up the course of justice for all culpable to be dealt with according to the law.
