Akoko residents protest against undue marginalization

Residents of Supare community in Akoko south local government area of Ondo state have protested against what they termed undue marginalization

At a press conference, they called for equity and fairness in the proposed allocation of LCDAs headquarters.

The chairman committee on actualisation of Supare LCDA, Alhaji Abdul Rasheed Akerele said the community is long overdue to own it’s LCDA.

Akerele, who is also the chief Imam of the community said the state government has not been fair to the people of Supare as they were not included in the proposed LCDAs.

The regent of Supare Akoko, Princess Adebukola Adedeji Adebayo said the community has what its takes to own LCDAs headquarters.

Princess Adebukola urge governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu to give a listening hears to their grievances and act appropriately.

The Olusupare in council and a community leader, Mr Fabuwaju Titus tasked the State government to consider Supare for an LCDA HQ.

Another community leader, group captain Bola Owoeye, retired revealed that the community has contributed greatly to the revenue generation of Ondo state government.

Since the announcement of the creation of the LCDA by state government various communities have agitated for reconsider.
