Akeredolu urged to present staff of office to Olofun of Irele

The people of Ode Irele have appealed to the Ondo State Government to commence the processes of confirmation, installation and presentation of staff of office to Ademola Idowu Ikuyeju as the Olofun of Irele.

High chiefs and residents of the town during a peace walk around Ode Irele said Ikuyeju has the support of all the 43 quarters in the town.

One of them, The Odundun Asodedero of Ode Irele, High chief Duyilemi Shedrach noted that the kingmakers in the town took the necessary steps as laid down by the tradition before arriving at the choice of Ikuyeju.

Others who spoke, including the Otun Oba of Ode Irele, chief Elumoro Sunday And the Iyalaje of Ode Irele, chief Mrs Abiodun Olowokan appealed to governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, Deputy Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa and the commissioner for local government and chieftaincy affairs, Akin Sowore to present the instrument of office to Ikuyeju and validate his unanimous choice as the Olofun of Irele.
