Akeredolu Signs Over #180B 2018 Budget
Ondo State Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has signed the 2018 Appropriation bill into law.
The budget passed last week by the house of Assembly was increased from over #171B to over #181B.
Correspondent, Opeyemi Olawale reports that the contributory health Commission and the social protection bills were also singed into law.
The 2018 proposed budget was presented to the Ondo State House of Assembly by Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu last December and was last week passed by the lawmakers after weeks of scrutiny.
While assenting to the bills Governor Akeredolu appreciated the legislatures for the quick passage and assured that all the bills would be implemented duly for the development of the state and betterment of the people.
Governor Akeredolu noted that the budget, if properly implemented would advance the course of development in the state.
The Speaker of the House of Assembly, Bamidele Oloyeloogun assured that the effective oversight function would be a done towards a successful implementation of the budget.
The Ondo State contributory health scheme is aimed at providing access to a good and affordable health care delivery for the of the state, while the social protection law Seeks to ensure security of lives and property of the people.
