Akeredolu describes late mother as “true evangelist”
Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has described his late mother, Lady Grace Bosede Akeredolu JP, as a true evangelist who preached gospel of the Lord to villages and won souls for Christ.
The Governor said his late mother was a prayer warrior, adding that her prayers and those of other well wishers sustained him till now.
Governor Akeredolu spoke while receiving various groups and dignitaries who came to condole with him at the Government House, Akure.
Among the callers were the Archbishop of the Ecclesiastical Province of Ondo Anglican Communion, Most Rev Dr. Simeon Borokini, and other Bishops within the Province and Heads of security agencies in the state led by the State Commissioner of Police, Oyeyemi Oyediran.
Other visitors include the leadership of Ondo State Judiciary led by the Chief Judge, Justice Akinlolu Akintoroye; the Managing Director/CEO of Wema Board, Mr Oluyemi Ijidiran and the National Council for Women Society (NCWS), Ondo State chapter, led by Dr Jumoke Aborode.
Also on a condolence visit were the 130 Crowns led by their chairman; Oba Samuel Adeoye, the Molokun of Atijere; the Owa-Ale of Iyometa-Ikare, Oba Adeleke Adedoyin, and other High Chief.
Governor Akeredolu thanked the visitors for the condolence visit, adding that his late mum was a great woman and good mother.
The visitors congratulated the Governor and his siblings for surviving their aged mother.
They also prayed for the repose of the Late Evangelist Grace Akeredolu, saying her good legacies will continue to live after her.
One after the other, Governor Akeredolu took his time to receive the visitors and appreciated them for identifying with him at this period.
